  • NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

Sponsored by the Town of Oil City with the help of Gusher Days, National Night Out is a gathering of local people to share the Town of Oil City experience.  The Caddo Sheriff, Oil City Police, Fire District 7 and other organizations are represented.  Check out the NATIONAL NIGHT OUT flier by clicking HERE.


  • EASTER EGG HUNT                   

On the Saturday March 23rd, 2013 The Seniors of Oil City Club in cooperation with  GUSHER DAYS distributes over 5000 candy filled Easter Eggs.  Five age groups are allotted separate areas to collect the eggs, all under the watchful eye of the EASTER BUNNY.   There is also an Easter Bonnet parade and contest.   • PAGEANTS          
The pageant held at the OIL CITY ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL features two categories of QUEENS.  Missy Gusher,  Miss Gusher.  Pageant winners appear in GUSHER DAYS events and move on to regional title competitions.  Check the "Pageants Updates" section for more information or applications, or contact KELLIE MORRIS, pageant coordinator. 
                
       
  • PET PARADE

Held the Friday evening before Gusher Day, the Pet Parade brings together the animal population of the Oil City area in a display of talent, creative costuming, and look alike characteristics for a truly fun gathering.  Application forms available here. Contact JOANN ROURK for more information.

  •  CAR SHINE AND SHOW

Vintage, Antique and specialty vehicles (including lawn mowers) are displayed on Land Avenue for judging.  Application forms available here.  Contact CHIP DICKEY for more information.

  • KIDS ACTIVITIES

Several activities geared towards the "younger set" include a "hay scramble" for hidden quarters, washer toss, sucker rod relay, a barrel of oil, drill bit toss, and dress the driller.

  • SKY DIVERS

As the kick off for the GUSHER DAY PARADE,  The SKYDIVE EXPERIENCE of VIVIAN fall from the sky into Oil City.

  • PARADE FLOAT JUDGING


Area businesses, organizations, politicians, beauty queens, marching units and the GUSHER DAY    Dignitaries all parade through town.   Floats are judged, and awards presented.  Application forms available here.  Contact CHRISTINA ALLEN for more information.

  • FOOD AND CRAFT VENDORS

During all of GUSHER DAY, on Land Avenue downtown along the parade route there are vendors featuring local crafts, all kinds of different foods and refreshments, and local organizations.
